Climate Change and Its Effects

Climate change endangers plants, animals and humans. Our earth or the nature is changing from time to time. The natural disasters around the world are the result of climate change. I believe that everyone of us has the responsibility to protect the nature. We need to make our daily lives environment friendly: recycling our trash, avoiding wastage of electricity or taking the stairs instead of elivator, for example.Introducing littel changes like these, makes a significant difference.

Manifestation in New York City.

The U.S. government began its attack on Afghanistan 10 years ago, the ex President of the US called it a “war on terror.” It was followed by 8 years of U.S. war in Iraq and now war in Libya and drone wars on Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, and Sudan under Pres. Obama. These are all wars for oil, resources, and markets in the interests of corporate power.

From Beauty to Bones

Look what society has done to us and the kind of people we have become. This picture definitely says it all.

Does this video bring you joy? or sadness? or both? To me it's both. It makes me happy because it's never too late to try and make a difference. It makes me sad because not everyone will feel the same a few days after they watch this most people will forget and never act on it and go about their lives as usual. Would you begin to act and try and make the world a better place one small problem at a time? Will you just take for granted that someone else will? Or are you discouraged because you feel the problems are bigger than you or a handful of your friends?

Ahhhhh the gold old skins. Some might say that we still have a chance, me on the otherhand being a die hard skins fan still have hope since the eagles lost yesterday and hopefully the Giants and COWGIRLS losing all of their games. We still might have a shot to go to the playoffs. The problem is not the players, I think it is Kyle Shannanhan. I think his father needs to decide if he wants to win games to back up his son because he in my mind is stupid. If you call the right plays at the right time maybe we can score some TD's in a game. I mean goshhh just let Beck throw the freaking ball deep down the field.

If you just started smoking cigarettes, please stop now!
I've been smoking cigarettes regularly for 7 years and it was one of the worst thing I've chosen to do in my life. After all, what you get are; bad health, cigarette stinking car, full of lighter in the drawer, 10lb of change from buying cigarettes!

Giving up smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I know because I've done it thousands of times.

Funny Pictures... so true !

Ayah E.
Ayah E.

This is a picture of an X-Ray of a foot in a high heeled shoe! Just look at the physical stress that is placed on the metatarsophalangeal joints! This also causes problems to the spine, not just the joints in the feet. It is sad to see what people do to themselves in the name of fashion. That shows how the statement “beauty is pain” is so true. Because there is no possible way to believe that heels are comfortable especially when they are over 6 inches high and pointed like a pencil, and makes whoever is walking in them look like they're about to fall on their face! They sure do look nice and “fashionable”, but not at all comfortable. This shows how most girls now a days care a lot more about their beauty than they do about their health.

Radio Stations Paying to Play

Remember the issue a couple years ago about radio stations having to pay fees to be able to play musics on air? Here is a news about it just to refresh your memory. Think: is this okay or not?
I remembered about it but I never heard the ending, but I know for sure that I am against it. I mean, everyone loves to listen to music and there are a variety of them. However, for musicians, even from the past, now demanding to get paid more? That is a great deal for them, but what about the radio stations? Many would lose business and would be more into radio talk, which many of us don't want to listen to.
After reading this article, http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/23/business/media/23royalties.html, I can't believe it. This was a shocker, but still understandable that they don't want to have a higher fee. However, it is still just another way for musicians to get more pay when they (well some) are getting a triple amount of a normal person's pay check! Still say that this was a good, fair deal? Would you rather have radio stations pay for the music or be silent?
